Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere effort to see each client on time. Please arrive twenty minutes early if you are a new patient so that the you may fill out the needed information. If you are a current client and arrive more than 10 minutes after the start of your scheduled appointment time, we most likely will need to have you drop off your pet or reschedule the appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with scheduled appointments.
For your convenience, drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, you will receive a call by the doctor to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.
For things such as nail trims, single vaccines or other health problems that do not require a full physical exam, we can schedule a runback' appointment. A 'runback' means that you can come in at any time that is most convenient for you (within regular (office hours). At that time, we will take your pet from you for a few minutes and bring him/her to our treatment area. We will remove sutures, cut nails, express anal glands, draw pre-surgical bloodwork or drug monitoring bloodwork etc. If you think that your companion needs medical attention, please call our office so we can schedule an appropriate appointment to minimize your waiting time.
